Welcome Boost
New to DYNASTIES? Every new hero gets a big, generous head start — and it is handed over at the one
moment it means something.
Where it happens
You are created empty-handed. The Birth Village is a tutorial: walk it, talk to the Guide, learn the
buttons. Nothing there needs gear, and nothing there is worth doubling.
The first time you set foot in Twin City, everything lands together:
- Your starter kit, already equipped — a weapon for your class, armour, and a stack of health potions
(Taoists get mana potions too). You walk into town armed, not rummaging through a bag. - A sealed Newbie Package — a box of level-15 gear for the road ahead, including both rings
(a Copper Ring for damage, a Porcelain Ring for accuracy — the pick is yours). Open it whenever you
like; it is in your bag until you do. - A Newcomer's Vial — drink it whenever you're ready to begin your welcome window. It is bound to
you: it can't be traded, sold or dropped. - The Welcome Kit — a silver stipend and a few bound Dynasty Tokens to spend at the
Token Merchant.
It doesn't matter how you reach town — either village door, a later login that lands you there — the
hand-over fires on arrival.
What the Vial gives you
- Double XP — you earn 2× experience from every kill.
- Higher drops — monsters are more generous (a Fortune-style drop boost).
- Auto-loot — your own valuable drops (gold, Meteors, DragonBalls) are collected for you on kill.
- A "New Blood" aura — a gentle glowing blessing so veterans can spot a newcomer and welcome you.
You can watch the three "Newcomer's" buffs (Insight / Fortune / Charm) count down in your
buff tray.
It lasts your first 72 hours of playtime
Once you drink the Vial, the three buffs run on a playtime timer, not a real-world clock — the
countdown only ticks while you are actually online and playing, and it pauses when you log off.
So the boost can never be wasted while you sleep: you get a full 72 hours of play to make the most
of it, spread across as many sessions as you like. Plan your grind around it — the early game goes fast
with double XP. (Drink it when it suits you; the countdown doesn't start until you do.)
The fine print
- The Vial is per hero. Every new character on your account gets one, because every hero levels
from 1 and the welcome is about the levelling. Your second character starts as well as your first. - The Welcome Kit is per account. The silver and the Dynasty Tokens go into a purse your whole account
shares, so they are handed out once — a second character on the same account doesn't get a second
stipend. - One welcome per newcomer. Extra accounts on the same computer won't hand out more — it's there to
help genuinely-new players find their feet, not to be farmed. Sharing an internet connection is
completely fine: a household, dorm, café or campus can each have their own newcomer welcomed. The rule
is about the account and the machine, not your IP address. - It's aimed at brand-new characters (the early levels), so an established veteran logging in an old
high-level hero won't trigger it.
