The GainzGoose
Now and then — when the staff let it loose — an oversized, green-named GainzGoose waddles into Twin
City's plaza by the coin and stands there for about six minutes. It cannot hurt you, the guards leave it alone, and every hit
you land on it pays you — melee or spells, any level, any gear.
How it pays
- Every hit lands for 1 damage, whoever swings. Its 1000-point bar is a shared counter for the whole
plaza, and a level-15 with a stick moves it exactly as fast as a level-120 with a blade. - Each hit pays a slice of your own next rank: a fraction of the experience to your next level, of
the proficiency to your weapon's next rung (on a swing) and of the spell's next level (on a cast).
It is the same slice at every level, so it is worth the same time to everyone. - There is a cap per goose on each of the three — you will be told once when you are full. Keep
hitting anyway: the showers below and the bonus at the end are for everyone who stays on it. - The three players who land the most hits get a bonus on all three when the timer runs out.
The showers
- Every couple of hundred hits (the plaza's hits, not yours) it sheds a shower of Meteors and
silver, and sometimes a gem, onto the ground around it — first come, first served. - When its bar empties it does not die — it shakes it off and swells back up, with a bigger shower
(a MeteorScroll among it). - When the timer ends it waddles off with the biggest shower of all — and, some of the time, a
DragonBall on the floor for the crowd to scramble over.
If you are low level
Characters under level 70 also roll for a gift straight to the bag on every hit — a Meteor most
of the time, sometimes a gem, silver or a MeteorScroll — the lower your level the better the odds
(under 25 is the best tier), a few gifts per goose. Nobody can snipe those: they are yours.
Finding it
It is a staff-triggered event (no fixed schedule), announced three minutes ahead and again when it arrives; the EVENTS dock row shows it as
ongoing with a Join button that warps you to the plaza (/gotoevent does the same). Note that a
character holding a pickaxe cannot attack anything — swap to a weapon (or bare hands) first.
Testers: the DYNASTIES coin's Tester tools → Rehearse an event → GainzGoose spawns one for you alone
in a private arena, straight away.
