Input Assist
Conquer's core loop is click, click, click. Hunting a camp for an hour means thousands of
identical clicks, and the usual answer is an outside autoclicker.
You don't need one here. The client has it built in.
The three assists
All three are toggles — press once to start, press again to stop. The whole point is that
you stop holding anything.
| Default hotkey | What it does |
|---|---|
| CTRL + Q | Sticky CTRL — the game behaves as though CTRL is held down until you press it again |
| CTRL + 1 | Auto left-click — a left click every half second (hunting) |
| CTRL + 2 | Auto right-click — a right click every half second (spells) |
An assist clicks wherever your cursor already is. It repeats the click you would have
made; it never decides where to click, what to target, where to walk, or what to pick up.
That line is deliberate and it isn't configurable — this is a cure for a sore hand, not a bot.
It stops on its own
An assist releases itself the moment any of these happen — it never keeps running while you're
not there to be clicking:
- you die
- you leave the world or disconnect
- a verification prompt appears
- the game window loses focus (you alt-tab away)
Because it stops on focus loss, an assist can never click into another window. Nothing is sent
anywhere but the game.
Why we'd rather you used ours
This is the part worth understanding, because it's about not getting banned.
An outside autoclicker is invisible to us. From the server's side it produces exactly the
packet pattern an unattended farming bot produces — a metronome. We can't tell "tired player
with a macro" from "nobody home". So a tool that's genuinely just easing your wrist gets
treated the same as one that isn't.
When you use the built-in assist, the client tells the server it's running. The server then
adjusts what counts as suspicious knowing an assist is on. Declaring it makes you safer, not
more watched.
It is a raised bar, not a free pass. Perfectly regular clicking is still tracked; it just
takes a much longer run to become a flag, because a metronome is exactly what we generate for
you. Someone who declares an assist and then runs a real bot underneath still crosses the
higher bar. And the declaration expires — it covers you while you're actually using it, not
forever after one press.
Movement checks are untouched, because an assist doesn't move you.
Turning it off entirely
If you'd rather it didn't exist, set enabled=0 under [InputAssist] in
dynasty-client.ini, next to your client. You can also change intervalMs there if half a
second isn't the rhythm you want (the client will not go faster than 100ms).
Changing the hotkeys
Open Options → Hotkey and pick QOL in the Menu column. The three assists are listed there
and rebind exactly like any other hotkey — pick one, press your key, click Change.
The defaults are written into the game's own hotkey table the first time you enter the world, and
only into slots that were unbound — if you have already bound CTRL+1 to something of your own,
yours is left exactly as it is and never overwritten.
The QOL menu replaces the old "Friend" hotkey menu. Its two entries (Show list, Add) are gone;
the friend list is still on the dock where it always was. If you had a key bound to one of them, that
key now works your first assist instead — rebind it here if you'd rather it were something else.
