The DYNASTIES Launcher — install & stay updated

The DYNASTIES Launcher is the easiest way to play: one program that keeps your game
patched and launches it. You never hunt for a new download when we ship an update — the
launcher fetches it for you, and only downloads the pieces that actually changed.

Install (once)

Download DYNASTIES and run it. The download already contains the game, the mod
and the launcher — there is no separate 4330 client to find first.

Afterwards, always start with the Play Dynasties shortcut. It is the only entry point that
checks for updates.

Already own a 4330 client? You can instead drop
just the launcher into that folder, beside Conquer.exe, and it will
fetch the rest. Use a copy of the folder (e.g. Conquer - Dynasties) so your other servers
stay untouched.

That's it. The first run downloads the mod (the custom HUD, live events, buffs, the right
server address, and the spell/monster data), verifies every file, and starts the game already
pointed at DYNASTIES.

Playing after that

Just run DynastyLauncher.exe every time you play. On each launch it does a quick check:

• Nothing new? It starts the game immediately — the check is tiny (no re-downloading).
• We shipped an update? It grabs only the changed files (usually a few hundred KB),
  checks them, and launches. No re-installing, no big downloads.

You can leave the launcher where it is and even pin it to your taskbar.

Heads-up: SmartScreen / antivirus

The launcher loads our mod into the game the same way many mods and trainers do, so Windows
SmartScreen or your antivirus may warn the first time. It's expected — choose
"More info" → "Run anyway", or allow DynastyLauncher.exe / DynastyInjector.exe in your
antivirus. Every file the launcher downloads is checksum-verified against our server, so a
tampered or corrupted download is refused, never applied.

Troubleshooting

• "Conquer.exe is not in this folder." — the launcher must sit inside your 4330 client
  folder (next to Conquer.exe). Move it there and run it again.
• "Update check failed." — you're offline or our server is unreachable. If you've played
  before, the launcher will start your current version anyway; otherwise, check your connection
  and retry.
• Something looks broken after an update? — run the launcher once with the --verify
  option (Shift-right-click the folder → Open in Terminal → DynastyLauncher.exe --verify) to
  re-check and repair every file.

The manual way (no launcher)

Prefer to do it by hand? You can still grab the plain client overlay ZIP, extract it into
your 4330 client folder, and run Play-Dynasties.bat. The launcher just automates that — and
keeps it updated. See Getting Started and The Client.
